What's frustrating is that Biden had a clear mandate to undo practically anything Trump did, in the US' relations with Iran, Russia, China, and Venezuela in particular, and he's changed absolutely nothing.

Yes, exactly that! I would only add in Syria and Yemen to your list.

True, and for that matter, Trump was elected in 2016 with a clear mandate to undo Obama's reckless policies, and we can all see how that turned out.

All of this assumes that the United States cares about ordinary Venezuelans or their lives or suffering. The United States most manifestly does not.

If anything, it actively desires that these people suffer, in that the United States derives no discernable benefit from these people's sufferings other than the fact of their suffering, of punishing those perceived to be "enemies" simply because it is able to do so, and that is benefit enough.

TL:DR: the United States as imperial hegemon is not merely clueless. It is actively malevolent.

Guaidó has been a complete joke from the beginning. It is absolutely pathetic that we carry on the charade of his "presidency." Unrelated (sort of), is it only me, or does Zelensky look more like Fidel Castro with every passing day? Will Ukraine become our next Cuban revolution? I suppose not, but one almost has to hope he turns on his American supporters sooner rather than later when he's tired of be told what to do and say.
