The reckless application of severe sanctions against such an impoverished and battered country will drive a population that has already endured almost a decade of war and starvation towards famine.

I recall democrats and liberals loudly decrying Trump's genocidal Yemeni policy from 2016-2020, then dropping their opposition to said policy like it was a hot turd, once that (undoubtedly genocidal) Yememi policy became Biden's (undoubtedly genocidal) Yemeni policy.
Now that Trump is back in the White House, it will be tragicomic to watch Team D suddenly rediscover human rights, like a passionate rekindiling of a romance with a once-spurned lover.
