Somethign similar could be said for the lovely and talented Kamala Harris. Her political career is over. Stick a fork in this turkey, it's done.
If Harris ever cared about Palestine, if ever were there a time when Harris could speak her mind freely, unburdened by what has been, now is that time.
Your imperial feline majesty overlooks the fact that, as AOC put it, Harris was "working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire in Gaza." Harris herself said she and Biden were working "around the clock."
There is no hope for an improvement in Mideast Policy from Trump, however, there is some, if slight, hope that he will do what he can to end the proxy war against Russia that has turned into a hot war. His cabinet of warmongers and the outgoing Biden Administration are sure to sabotage such efforts, but a slight hope is better than no hope. I do not think Trump, given his narcissism and high opinion of himself, wants to start WWIII. In fact the very flaws in Trump’s personality are the things that might save us from nuclear Armageddon.
I am not sure. Trump is boxed into a corner, trapped. Anything other than Total Victory, and his opponents will call him "Putin Puppet!" Munich will be ritually invoked.
Once Trump starts down the escalation road (he is a weakling and easily manipulated), his opponents will simply accuse him of betraying our allies, our troops, unless he escalates more.
This abuse of The Sunk Cost Fallacy is entirely intentional, and Trump is probably too stupid to see it.
"I don’t know how anyone can look at the last thirteen months of U.S.-enabled slaughter and starvation and still say that “[e]mpathy is Biden’s superpower."
Cat, please. Who on earth would say such an absurd thing?
Then again, Hitler claimed to be for pease as well, all the way up through the last days in Fuehrerbunker.

Crickets. Silence.

That there is some ghoulish humor.
Maybe "working tirelessly" is an oxymoron. When one works, does not one become tired?
Good riddance to bad rubbish, although I do not expect anything better from Trump on Mideast Policy.
Yes, good riddance, but as you suggest, there is more rubbish on the way. It seems "recycling rubbish" doesn't mean what we once thought.
