If Biden and his team had wanted to they could have already dropped sanctions and rejoined the JCPOA with Iran, dropped sanctions against Venezuela, dropped sanctions against Cuba and removed them from the ludicrous “state sponsors of terrorism list,” closed Guantanamo, ended our illegal occupation of Syrian territory, removed our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, and pressured Saudi Arabia to end support for their disastrous war in Yemen. The fact that he has done none of these but instead urged new confrontations with Russia and China gives us an early signal that his term in office will be disastrous.
