People are realizing that forever wars have never been about democracy but about feeding the war machine which greases our imperial/capitalistic system. Democracy is not our system post Roosevelt's New Deal politics; war is driving our economy and social media and tech oligarchs driving our politics. That the New World Order.

Biden's first priority after October 7 was to reaffirm in the strongest possible way his total commitment to Israel and complete support for whatever it wanted to do. If that isn't blindly ideological, I don't know what is.
When I ponder the appreciation of history, context and continuity that Lavrov and Yi bring to their diplomatic engagement, I see the weakness of our musical chairs in the State Department. Certainly, the lack of continuity and true diplomatic competence is costing us and the world dearly these days.
