All true, all painfully self-evident, but once the US Empire occupies a country, it tends not leave unless it is forced to do so.

How they show our great respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty. I wish Kirby and company would go live on these Syrian outposts. We'd get out then at the first firecracker.

Interesting. The Executive unconstitutionally sent troops in, Congress refused to pull them out, but that's not the same as sending them in or authorizing the funds for the invasion in the first place. Also, Congress did not take the opportunity to either declare war or review the Executive's action under the (unconstitutional) War Powers Act to see if passed muster. Am I getting all of this correct? If so, literally anyone should be able to sue to remove these troops. Hell, Assad himself could file an injunction. I'd pay to see him take this case to the Supreme Court and not only throw out the troops from his country but also the War Powers Act. He, more than anyone else on this planet, has standing.

This is a good idea but would probably get bounced on a motion to dismiss based on the Political Question Doctrine.
