Of course, there are no equal partners, and that is the empire managers' entire point. Perhaps sanctions on Brazil would be a good thing. It might be the final straw to break the camel's back as Latin America tells us once and for all to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. One can hope.

Clearly the more principled American policy is the hawk-supported Trump/Pompeo move to seize more Iranian ships, loot their cargo, sell off the proceeds, and pocket the cash like a petty-gangster state would do. /s

Comedian Christopher Titus says, "If you're normal, the crowd will accept you. But if you're deranged, the crowd will make you their leader." As a former Texan (not that we have it any better in Florida where I now live) Cruz seems to be living proof of Titus's assessment. And sadly, it rings truer with every election.

I'm trying to imagine how the world would look if "sanctions for all!" had been our diplomatic strategy with Western Europe after WWII, instead of the Marshall Plan.
