Gallup finds that the American public has turned against Israel’s war in Gaza:
After narrowly backing Israel’s military action in Gaza in November, Americans now oppose the campaign by a solid margin. Fifty-five percent currently disapprove of Israel’s actions, while 36% approve.
It is normal for people to recoil from an atrocious military campaign, especially when the war and the related siege are driving millions of people into famine. Whatever sympathies most Americans may have in the conflict, most people can see that this war is largely a slaughter of innocent people. The poll found that disapproval was roughly the same regardless of how closely people followed the news about the war.
