Strongarming Egypt and Jordan Will Fail

These governments would prefer not to antagonize Washington, but Trump is threatening to destabilize their countries and put their regimes at risk.

The Egyptian government isn’t rolling over for Trump’s deranged plot to steal Gaza and expel the population:

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will not travel to Washington for talks at the White House as long as the agenda includes U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza, two Egyptian security sources said.

If Trump thinks that he can blackmail Egypt and Jordan into become accomplices in the ethnic cleansing of Gaza, he has underestimated the intensity of their opposition.
