Stop Meddling in Greenland
The president’s predatory designs on Greenland have made their leaders rightly assume the worst about American intentions.
The Danish government has said that they do not welcome the visit of a U.S. delegation to Greenland this week:
The United States is exerting "unacceptable pressure" on Greenland, Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Tuesday, ahead of an unsolicited visit by a high-profile U.S. delegation to the semi-autonomous Danish territory this week.
Greenland’s local leaders also oppose the visit:
Greenland's outgoing Prime Minister Mute Egede called the delegation's visit, which runs from Thursday to Saturday, a "provocation" and said his caretaker government would not meet with it.
"Until recently, we could trust the Americans, who were our allies and friends, and with whom we enjoyed working closely," Egede told local newspaper Sermitsiaq. "But that time is over."
Egede has also accused the U.S. of “foreign interference” and said that the “only purpose of the visit was a demonstration of power, and the signal should not be misunderstood.” The president’s predatory designs on Greenland have made their leaders rightly assume the worst about American intentions.
