Sending Waltz to the U.N. Is a Bad Idea

Waltz loathes diplomacy and doesn’t seem to know the first thing about it, so he is a poor choice to represent the United States at the U.N.

Last week, Trump chose Mike Waltz as his nominee for ambassador to the United Nations. While the administration has tried spinning this as a “promotion” for Waltz, it was more of a consolation prize after he was unceremoniously pushed out from the White House after three months. It is clear from his time in the House and as National Security Advisor that Waltz loathes diplomacy and doesn’t seem to know the first thing about it, so he is a poor choice to represent the United States at the U.N.
