Rubio's Yemen War Propaganda

Claiming that the U.S. is only bombing the Houthis is like the IDF saying that they are only bombing Hamas in Gaza.

Marco Rubio wants you to believe that the U.S. has never been at war with Yemen:

Well, first of all, it’s wrong to think about it as we’re bombing Yemen. We’re bombing the Houthis, and they happen to be located in Yemen [bold mine-DL]. They’ve taken control of parts of the territory of Yemen. They claim to be the government, but they really aren’t.

The attacks in Yemen over the weekend killed at least 31 people and injured around 100 more. The victims of these bombings were all Yemenis, and most of them were reportedly women and children. The U.S. is absolutely bombing Yemen and it is killing Yemeni civilians. Claiming that the U.S. is only bombing the Houthis is like the IDF saying that they are only bombing Hamas in Gaza. It’s a ridiculous propaganda line, and no one should be convinced by the lie.
