Israel Attacks Syria Again
No matter who governs Syria, Israel’s policy is to trample on Syrian sovereignty.
The Israeli government is attacking Syria again:
Israeli warplanes hit a town south of Syria's capital as well as the southern province of Daraa late on Tuesday, residents, security sources and local broadcaster Syria TV said.
In addition to being illegal, the Israeli strikes are foolish in that they may be needlessly making the new Syrian government into their enemy. The new government currently poses little threat to Israel. Syria’s new leadership appears to have no interest in picking a fight, and they have done nothing to Israel that remotely justifies military action against their country. Netanyahu’s answer to the prospect of a peaceful relationship with Syria has been to occupy Syrian territory and commit other acts of aggression against them.
