Hands Off Greenland
There are few things less necessary for American security than possessing Greenland.
Trump started talking about taking over Greenland again last week:
For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.
The U.S. has no need to own and control Greenland. It wasn’t necessary before the Cold War, during the Cold War, or at any point since then. There are few things less necessary for American security than possessing Greenland. It was a daft idea five years ago when Trump first brought it up, and it remains so now. If Trump is even remotely serious about pursuing this, it just confirms how horrible his judgment is. The people of Greenland understandably don’t want to become a colony of the United States, and that should be the end of it.
