Clinton's Ghoulish and Dehumanizing Speech in Michigan

You can’t enable a genocide and then pretend to have the moral high ground against the people opposing it.

Bill Clinton went to Michigan this week on behalf of the Harris campaign and he did his best to make sure that the Democrats lose the state on Tuesday:

A frail-looking Bill Clinton called out “young Arab Americans” in a hoarse defense of Israel’s deadly war against Hamas in Gaza during a stump speech in Michigan — a swing state with a large Arab population, which has made Israel policy a major issue.

The Harris campaign has a strange idea of how to win an election. Typically, candidates try to tell voters what they want to hear rather than bashing them over the head with insulting rhetoric. Sending out an old surrogate to hector young voters about how they don’t really understand the issue they care about is sure to drive people away. Sending Bill Clinton to tell them that they shouldn’t get so hung up on the tens of thousands of civilians slaughtered in Gaza is obnoxious. His speech has been widely panned for his use of dehumanizing rhetoric about Palestinians and his attempts to justify the huge death toll.
