Attacking Iran Will Be Arbitrary and Unjust
The president and his allies have no interest in finding a peaceful resolution.
A new round of “negotiations” between the U.S. is set to begin in Oman at the end of the week:
The U.S. and Iran are due to hold talks in Oman on Friday after Tehran requested a change of venue to limit negotiations to its nuclear programme, a regional official said, with a build-up of U.S. forces in the Middle East raising fears of a confrontation.
The U.S. should not attack Iran, so anything that delays that is better than nothing. That said, the planned talks in Oman are not going to resolve anything. The president and his allies have no interest in finding a peaceful resolution. The president is the one who created the current crisis by threatening Iran with more illegal attacks. If the president were interested in peace with Iran, he would stop jumping at every opportunity to threaten them.
