The U.S. Is Terrorizing Its Neighborhood

These attacks are terrorizing and murdering people in our hemisphere.

The lawless killing continues. The military carried out another attack Wednesday and murdered four more people. That brings the running total of victims to 80. This has been going on for two and a half months, and it shows no signs of stopping. All signs point to further attacks and possible escalation including attacks on other countries. Hegseth just announced the start of Operation Southern Spear to give the murder spree an official name.

In his announcement, Hegseth said, “The Western Hemisphere is America’s neighborhood – and we will protect it.” It should go without saying, but U.S. attacks on civilian boats are not protecting our hemisphere. These attacks are terrorizing and murdering people in our hemisphere. The ongoing military buildup in the Caribbean is a grave threat to the international peace and security of our hemisphere. Other countries in the region want no part of the “protection” that involves the murder of civilians and illegal attacks on other states.
